At Exceptional ABA Therapy , our mission is to provide tailored therapy that meets the unique needs of each child. We believe in fostering independence and improving quality of life through effective strategies using evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis.

Meet Tiffany Spicer, Owner and Clinical leader of Spicer Exceptional Therapies. Tiffany Spicer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with more than 11 years of experience working in ABA. She has dedicated her time in the field to helping families by providing individualized care to meet each child and families specific needs. Tiffany established Spicer Exceptional Therapies to increase access to assent-based in-home care for families.
"Every child deserves access to care! Assent-based care focuses on providing each child a positive, fun, and stress- free therapy experience. Children thrive when they are happy, relaxed and engaged during their therapy sessions." -Tiffany

At Spicer Exceptional ABA Therapies, our therapists are the heart of everything we do. Each member of our team is highly trained, bringing expertise, dedication, and compassion to every session. We pride ourselves on having professionals who are not only confident in their skills but also know how to make therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for every child and family. Our therapists use creative, evidence-based approaches that inspire progress while keeping sessions full of energy and positivity. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, they build strong, supportive relationships that help clients reach their fullest potential—all while making the journey enjoyable.
At SEABAT, therapy isn’t just effective—it’s an experience filled with learning, laughter, and growth.

At SEABAT, we bring therapy right to where children feel most comfortable—home! Our in-home therapy services are designed to make learning natural, fun, and part of everyday life.
By working in a child’s familiar environment, our therapists can focus on real routines and real moments—helping your child practice skills where they matter most. Whether it’s improving communication, following routines, or building independence, we make each session engaging and meaningful. Families love in-home therapy because it allows everyone to be involved. Parents, siblings, and caregivers can join in, learn strategies, and celebrate progress together!
If at home service doesn't work for you we do offer daycare services as well.

At SEABAT, we believe collaboration is key to helping every child succeed. Our team offers school consultations to support educators, administrators, and families in creating effective learning environments where students can thrive. By partnering with schools, we help bridge the gap between home, therapy, and classroom settings—ensuring consistency, understanding, and meaningful progress for each student. Together, we create supportive, inclusive learning spaces where every child has the opportunity to shine.

At SEABAT, we believe parents are the heart of every child’s progress. That’s why we offer parent training—fun, hands-on learning that helps families feel confident and connected every step of the way. Our amazing therapists work side-by-side with parents and caregivers to share practical tools, simple strategies, and creative ideas that make everyday moments a chance to learn and grow.
Together, we’ll explore ways to:
Parent training is about teamwork, celebration, and progress that lasts. With the right support, every family can feel empowered—and every child can shine!

On November 20th, our team at Spicer Exceptional Therapies had the joy of supporting a special sensory-friendly performance of The SpongeBob Musical, presented by the Children’s Theatre of Elgin at The Hemmens Cultural Center.
This free, inclusive event was created to give individuals with sensory sensitivities—and their families—a comfortable, welcoming space to enjoy live theatre. And we were thrilled to be part of it!
Throughout the evening, our team provided sensory assistance to help kiddos navigate transitions, take breaks when needed, and enjoy the show at their own pace. We also enjoyed a special moment during intermission as our owner and clinical leader, Tiffany Spicer, spoke to the audience about the importance of sensory-inclusive spaces and the work we do to support families in our community.
We loved seeing families relax, smile, and make memories in an environment tailored to their needs.
A huge thank-you to the Children’s Theatre of Elgin for hosting such a thoughtful event, and to all the families who came out and spent their evening with us. We’re grateful for every opportunity to support our community through accessible and inclusive experiences.
Stay tuned for more events like this—we can’t wait to see you again soon! 💛🎭🌈

Answers to some commonly asked questions
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that teaches meaningful, everyday skills. We break big goals into small steps, practice through play and routines, and use positive reinforcement to help skills stick.
Communication (words/signs/AAC), play and social skills, daily living (toileting, feeding, dressing), safety (hand-holding near streets), flexibility/routines, and coping skills (asking for help, taking a break).
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designs a personalized plan. A trained therapist (RBT/Behavior Technician) works with your child at home using fun, structured activities. The BCBA supervises, updates the plan, and coaches caregivers.
Absolutely! We use play-based, assent-focused methods—following your child’s interests, offering choices, and adjusting when they show “no” with words or behavior (assent-based).

Yes—by teaching replacement skills (e.g., “Help please,” “Break,” “My turn”). We focus on safety and function, not compliance for compliance’s sake.
We pivot. The BCBA adjusts the plan, materials, or reinforcement. Your child’s comfort and consent (“assent”) guide what we do.
Duration varies. We set clear goals, review progress frequently, and fade or discharge when goals are met and skills maintain with typical supports.
We do not have a minimum hours requirement, we will make an appropriate clinical recommendation for your child based on the results of the assessment that the BCBA completes. We will then work with your family to set a schedule that works for your child. We prioritize time with family, naps, and encourage other therapies!
